Vegan, Gluten Free Parmesan

This shaker style vegan, gluten free parmesan cheese is the perfect topping for any pasta, salad, pizza or whatever meal you would normally add parmesan cheese to. It is cheesy, slightly salty and garlicky. Make a jar and store it in your fridge!

A note on some of the ingredients:

Almond flour: Almond flour has a grainy texture to it which combines well with the other ingredients. I have not tried this recipe with any seed flours however oat flour may work if you would like to make this recipe nut free.

Nutritional yeast: Nutritional yeast is a deactivated brewer’s yeast that is high in protein and often fortified with vitamin B12. It has a slightly cheesy, umami flavor. Unfortunately there is no good alternative to this ingredient.

Combine all of the ingredients into a small bowl and mix well.

Store the vegan, gluten free parmesan in an air tight container in the fridge. The parmesan will keep for a few weeks. This parmesan goes perfectly on my TVP bolognese and Roasted vegetable and sausage pasta.

Enjoy!
